I own a landscaping company that services all the Austin area. We were up 21% in total sales from 08 to 09. I could tell even before these articles were published that our local economy is still staying pretty strong. Now I guess all I need to do is hope we stay out of a bad drought this year. I talk to old friends all the time that have moved up north and they can not beleive me when I tell them that the local economy doesn't seem to be effected that much by the nation wide recession.
